RACES' RULES Grand Raid 666 / Saute Mouflon
The reference regulation is the one in French, problems of translation being able to arise and modify the initial text.

1. Affiliation and insurance
Organizers had taken out an insurance policy in civil liability (FFA).
Every runner has to enter for the race with a registration on the website and a medical certificate of no contraindication in the practice of the running in competition, less than a year in the date of the event (to send back by postmail or by e-mail to the association), and has to verify that he/she’s well insured for researches and sanitary evacuation.
2. Registration

The races the “Grand Raid 6666” and the "Saute Mouflon" are opened to runners in category Espoir, Seniors and Veterans, feminines and masculines, more Juniors (1997-1998) for the "Saute Mouflon".
2-1 The registration files include :
- ♦ the enrolment and the fees’ payment on line by the website, that means rules’ acceptance.
- ♦ a medicalcertificate of no contra indication for practising long distance runs in mountains and in competition, dated at least from one year to the date the race, to load on the website and to send by e-mail or by post to 6666 Occitane Association, 10, rue de Fabier, F- 34 320 VAILHAN, FRANCE, before June 2015, the 1st. The competitors not having supplied their medical certificate at this date will see their registration cancelled without possibility of refund, even if they signed to the cancellation insurance.
It is recommended to have already finished another ultrarace to join, because a good preparation is necessary (see chapter " preparation and management " on the website). The participants must in particular be perfectly aware of the length and the specificity of the event : distances, partially by night (1 night possible for GR6666), heat, semi-autonomy, technicality.
2-2 Fees, Cancellation insurance, cancellation and refund
The amount of the registration is for the Grand Raid 6666 of 107 € until 01/06/16 ; for the Saute Mouflon 42€ until 01/06/16.
Runners can subscribe to a cancellation insurance (€10), at the moment of their registration. It will not be possible to subscribe after the registration.
In case of withdrawal caused by personal reasons, the reimbursement of their registration fees will be then about 100% (excepting the €10,00 of the insurance we conserve and bank fees) until the start day, with a written proof (production of documentary evidence : medical certificate of not compatibility of your physical state in the participation in the race till 15/06/15 or documentary evidence of your employer for business travel). Any other reason will be individually studied, but the lack of training will not be considered as valid reason. The refund will be made in two months following the event : the sum will be credited on the credit card associated with the bank account which was used for the registration. The paid off amount will appear on the statement of bank card.
Without subscription to cancellation insurance, and in case of withdrawal caused by personal reasons, the reimbursement will be about 60% till February 2016, the 28th, about 50% till April 2016, the 20th, and about 40% till May 2016, the 31st . After that date, no reimbursement will be owed.
Any request of cancellation must be made by mail sent to Association 6666 Occitane, 10, rue de Fabier 34 320 VAILHAN (accompanied with the evidence) or by e-mail on the page contact of the site www.6666occitane.fr with the reason of the request (later sending of the documentary evidence). No withdrawal can be registered by telephone. Any request made by another person than the runner will not be valid. The competitors who would not have warned of their withdrawal and would not appear at departure cannot claim in any refund, even if they signed to the cancellation insurance.
Shuttle : once reserved, only the complete withdrawal of the runner having signed the insurance cancellation will give the right to a refund. The cancellation of only the option shuttle is not refundable otherwise.
For any refund the sum will be credited on the bank card which was used during the registration, and not on the bank account. The paid off amount will appear on the statement of bank card.
No exchange of number with a third person is accepted, every person selling his/her number on the Internet, or being taken in obvious offence of exchange of number during the retreat of numbers will see immediately cancelled its participation without any possible refund.
3. Participation
The “Grand Raid 6666” and the "Saute Mouflon" courses are in semi self-sufficiency.
Some supply points and some points with water are positioned on the route.
Each runner engaged needs to respect these points :
♦ Each runner carries his/her own obligatory equipment, which should be controlled at random during the course. The runner has to sign an engagement on honour to keep with himself/herself his/her obligatory equipment through the entire race.
- - a water-bottle belt or a camel-back with a 1 liter water reserve (1,5 liter recommended),
- a survival blanket (210x140 cm minimum),
- an energize reserve,
- two headlamps with spare set batteries only for Grand Raid 6666, - - a little twinkling lamp to put on the back of your backpack for Grand Raid 6666
- a waterproof jacket,
- a buff, or a headscarff, or a peaked cap,
- a whistle,
- a cup for supply point,
- 2 adhesive strips (80x6 cm minimum) to stretch oneself, - - a little bag for waste,
- a mobile phone.
The compulsory gear can be verified at any time of the race by sworn volunteers. The lack of one or several points of the compulsory equipment can pull penalties.
♦ Advised material : sticks, change of clothing, compass, knife, sun cream, small first-aid kit …
♦ Numbers : Supplied by organization, they must be worn during the course, well visible on the chest, the stomach or front of thigh. Phone number of the main check point and of emergency services (112 for zone “emergency only”) will be marked on.
A different colour and different numbers will allow the runners to distinguish their participation at the “Grand Raid 6666” from 1 to 999 and at the "Saute Mouflon" from 1000.
4. Personal assistance
♦ Personal assistance by the family is authorized only at the supply points, in the planned areas. If a runner is surprised to receive external assistance, he/she would be disqualified. No assistance authorized on water points.
5. Race bibs’ handing
The race bibs are to be taken for all the races in ROQUEBRUN, on June, friday 09th, at Esplanade Farret, from am 10:00 to pm 10:00.
An ID card with photo will be asked for the retreat of the number.
Before the races, the organizers inform the runners of :
- - Departure hour,
- - The time limit of passage at some check points (6666 : CABREROLLES, LAMALOU, COLOMBIÈRES, ANDABRE, DOUCH, MONS, COL DE LA GARLANDE ; Saute Mouflon : MONS, COL DE LA GARLANDE),
- - The supply and check points location,
- - Delicate points’ situation
- - Weather forecast.
6. Runners’ bags
1 runner bag (30 liters) will be provided to each participant of GR6666 and of Saute Mouflon with his/her number with a label carrying his/her number. They allow the participants to find clean personal belongings, food … The runners have to deposit them before the departure at ROQUEBRUN.
Careful : sticks are not allowed in theses bags. It is recommended not to put down valuables there. The organization cannot be held responsible in case of degradation, of loss or of theft.
6666: the bag will be carryed from Roquebrun to MONS LA TRIVALLE, and to ROQUEBRUN when the post of MONS will close.
Saute Mouflon : for Roquebrun only.
These bags are transported by organization. When reaching this post of deposit of bags, each runner reclaims his/her bag. When he/she leaves again, he/she deposits the bag to the volunteer. The bag is then taken to Roquebrun. The bags are handed back either to the competitor or to his/her family, uniquely on presentation of his/her bib, until 3:00 pm on June, Sunday 12th. Beyond, the runners could receive their bags at their expenses. After 15 days, if the bag is not reclaimed, it will be destroyed.
7. Briefing before the race
Just before the start, a last fast briefing will be the occasion to repeat to competitors :
- safety instructions,
- every last minute information about weather conditions, possible route modifications ...
8. Start
The start will be given :
- - For the “GRAND RAID 6666”, at ROQUEBRUN, on June Saturday 11th at 06:00 am.
- - For the "Saute Mouflon", at LAMALOU-LES-BAINS town hall place, on June, Saturday 11th at am 07:30.
Competitors have to be on the start line 15’ before the start.
The finish line of the 2 races is in ROQUEBRUN.
9. Maximal time of race
- · 31h30 for the “Grand Raid 6666” (last arrivals at 1:30 pm sunday 12th)
- . 12h30 hours for the "Saute Mouflon" (last arrivals at 08:00 pm saturday 11th)
10. Time barriers
Hourly barriers will be organized in the following points and hours

- COLOMBIÈRES-SUR-ORB 11/06 03:30 pm
- ANDABRE 11/06 08:30 pm
- DOUCH 12/06 00:00 am
- MONS-LA-TRIVALLE 11/06 01:15 pm for the Saute Mouflon, 12/06 05:00 am for the GR 6666,
- COL DE LA GARLANDE 11/06 02:45 pm for the Saute Mouflon, 12/06 08:00 amm for the GR 6666.
These barriers are planned to allow each runner to have time to rest and eat at the supply points, and correspond on leaving the supply point.
If one competitor is stopped by organization at one of these barriers, he/she has to stop the course, and will be rapatried back to ROQUEBRUN only. He/she’ll always have access to cares and to after race meal with the presentation of his/her bib
The organization reserve the rights to alter hour barriers or to stop the race in case of very bad weather or other danger.

- - No assistance to a person in danger. Competitors must help and give mutual assistance to other ones, and alert first aid points.
- - Savage rubbish elimination. Competitors have to respect environment and use waste baskets on supply points. Going through Natural Regional Park of Haut Languedoc (Caroux) and through Natura 2000 zones impose runners on respect few rules as strict respect of signposts... An entrance and exit signpost will sign out these short areas and repeat these instructions.
- - No respect of signposts : every shortcut of the route is forbidden, for ecological, security and fair play reasons.
- - No respect of volunteers, inhabitants, walkers, doctors, flora and fauna,
- - External assistance out of authorized supply points.
- - Absence of compulsory equipment or refusal to submit to a control of the aforementioned equipment.
- - Refusal to submit to a control or to a decision taken by the direction of race, a marshal, a leader of post, a doctor or a first-aid worker.
12. Withdrawal
Except for injury, runners have to reach a rescue point or a supply point to give up the race. They have to inform the responsible of the post, who will invalidate the number. Nevertheless, the participants will conserve their bib to the after race meal, cares ...
They will be repatriated to ROQUEBRUN by shuttle.
The doctors present on the post of provisioning / safety are authorized to remove the number and to put out of the race, after discussion with the runner and the director of the race.
13. Complaints
Race jury is alone to judge disputes. The jury is made of the race director, association members, the safety responsible, the leader of the concerned post and a runners’ representant.
Any complaint must be sent in writing, letter was mail or e-mail and sent in: jury of race, association 6666 Occitane , 10 rue de Fabier 34 320 VAILHAN or www.6666occitane.fr (page contact) at the latest 8 days after the event with a 50€ deposit. It will then be taken into account and studied by the jury. An answer will be individually given.
14. Modifications of the route or of the time barriers ; cancellation of the race
In the case of weather conditions which can represent a danger for runners’ and volunteers’ safety (important rainfalls, thick fog, risk of storm, forest fire ...), the organization reserves the right, without warning, to change the route (second security path), the hour barriers, the supply posts .
Departure must be put off 3 hours maximum ; it will be cancelled if weather conditions don’t get better.
If departure is gived and if the race has to be stopped, organization implements everything to repatriate the runners to ROQUEBRUN. No reimbursement will be allowed by organization.
If the departure was not given, a refund will be made for the pro missed committed expenses.
15. What include the enrolment fees :
The start gift, supplies, the transfer of assistance bags, the transfer to arrival in case of giving up, arrival gift for finishers, after race meal, showers, care.
What don’t include the enrolment fees :
The shuttle between ROQUEBRUN and LAMALOU (€7), cancellation insurance (€10).
Companions could buy tickets for after race meal on the spot, at the price of €10, in the limit of available seats.
For organization reasons, we ask you to reservate shuttle at the registration and untill 01/06/2016.
16. Rankings and rewards
All finishers are classified and receive a present.
For each race, a general classification female and male and a classification for each category female and male are established.
Are rewarded by a trophy and a prize : the first 10 men and the first 10 women of the “Grand Raid 6666” ; the first 3 men and the first 3 women of the “Saute Mouflon” ; the first 3 of each category (Espoir, Senior, Veteran 1,2,3,4 + Junior for Saute Mouflon) without accumulation of the rewards.
The 1st female and the 1st male of Grand Raid 6666 will receive her/his registration for Transmartinique and the accomodation (under reserve).
Some race numbers will be offered for the "Roc de la Lune" in 2017.
No prize money.
17. Photo copyrights and race rules’ acceptance
By his/her enrolment by the website, the runner commits himself/herself to respect race rules in the whole and relinquishes his/her claim to photographic copyright. He/she won’t ask for any financial compensation for the use by organization or his partners of his/her image before, during and after the events.
18. Anti-doping control
All the competitors can be subjected to an anti-doping control, before the departure or in the arrrivée.
19. Access and rectification of the personal data
According to the law N 78-17 of January 6th, 1978, relative to the Computing, to Files and to the Liberties, the participants have a right of access and rectification of the personal data concerning them. They can also ask for the not publication of the name specific data of the results on the site www.6666occitane.fr, on that of its partners and the FFA.
